Here's another drawing I did for work a few weeks back. The theme was vintage cereal boxes. Bee injuries are hilarious.
Luck of the Draw
Monday, July 26th, 2010
Each week, we at Powerhouse Animation do a drawing of a random topic. Last week was Masters of the Universe.

Last November, Noah threw down a challenge: To participate in the drawing equivalent of National Novel Writing Month, in which people attempt to write a book of at least 50,000 words. The formula: 1picture = 1,000words and 1novel = 50,000words then 50pictures = 1novel. Here are a couple.
Annual Updates!
Friday, July 9th, 2010
I've made a pact with one of my cohorts to update this site more often. Weekly even! I've accumulated a lot of work over the past year and will be posting it here regularly. Empty promises, you say? I have agreed to do a "penalty drawing" if I don't stick to my guns. What is a "penalty drawing" you ask? I'm not sure yet myself. I suppose we'll find out.
In the mean time, check out this shirt design Noah and I made a while ago. I'm wearing this shirt right now.
How It Works

The latest cartoon from the talented people I work with at Powerhouse Animation. This is what a typical day at the studio is like. I animated a couple of these scenes and enjoyed it immensely.
Total Protonic Reversal

Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Then try to imagine what possesses someone to make Ghostbusters related art.
Rock and Roll
Thursday, May 28th, 2009
Nerds rock. Proof of this will be on display tomorrow night at Momo's. Featuring the music of Wax Museum Pandemonium and The Tiny Tin Hearts. Go check it out.
Here's a poster I made for the show.
...Five Months Later

I know. No updates in a while. I've been busy.
Here's something I call, Class of '84.
Whiskey and Biscuits
Thursday, December 4th, 2008
That was going to be the title of the community art show I'm participating in, until we realized that serving hard liquor in a bookstore ain't exactly legal. So, we're just going to stick to the standard wine and cheese thing. Everyone loves booze and dairy! Come support a bunch of talented people at 8pm on Saturday. Details below.
Here's a new stencil I created for the show.
The 3rd Dimension
Monday, November 17th, 2008
A while ago, I created an anaglyph image of my jellyfish illustration. Strap on your 3D specs and check this out.
The "Jeff Freeman Early Works Retrospective" continues with my shot for shot remake of Spielberg's 1975 classic, Jaws.
One of us! One of us!

I've finally succumbed to the social networking scene after years of struggle. Maybe now I'll understand why people don't send old fashioned email anymore.
There is a new old drawing on the illustration page. I hope to turn it into a shirt someday.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be releasing some of my earliest work. This first film is from approximately 1982. It is arguably one of the greatest animated shorts about a volcano ever made.
Architeuthis
Monday, October 6th, 2008
I've posted three more drawings from my archives. And when I say archives, I mean the notebook on my floor.
I'm excited to report that a collaboration with the brothers Poole is back underway. Look forward to a short animated video for Wax Museum Pandemonium; A band that is so evil it exists in superposition between Connecticut and Texas.

If you're reading this, I somehow got ahold of your email address.
Congratulations! You are among the chosen few. The first to witness the spectacle that is The Madlands. This site was constructed to showcase the various work of Jeff Freeman. Jeff will cease to refer to himself in the third person from now on. Now that's quality!

It's Alive!

At long last, the website I've been talking about making for months (years) has finally been launched. A thousand thanks to Jeff Rose for spending so much of his free time teaching me the skills to make this thing work.
